Experienced Equestrian

Kimberly competed on the "A" Hunter/Jumper circuit during jr. high, high school & college and was also the co-captain of the North Carolina State University Equestrian Team. During college, she trained with an Olympic Coach in Dressage. Kimberly was able to support her riding adventures by starting a horse transportation business that she operated for several years. She now enjoys riding when time permits.

Dedicated Volunteer

Kimberly is focused on volunteering for Pawsibilities Unleashed (PUPT), a non-profit organization that trains Service Dogs for adults & children with disabilities. She spends several hours each week volunteering with her two working Therapy Dogs (Molly & Murphy the Labrador Retrievers) that are now certified to visit nursing homes, hospitals, schools and libraries.

Leader in Equine Business and Economics

Kimberly is a pioneer of the University of Kentucky Equine Initiative. She has participated in a U.S. Homeland Security workshop on equine bio-safety, helped develop the first U.K. course in Equine Markets and delivered many presentations to audiences such as Federal Congressional Staff membrs. She has a keen ability to bridge the gap between non-horsemen and horsemen.

Kimbelry Brown Horse Specialist, Business ConsultantKimberly Brown is a former PricewaterhouseCoopers Consultant from the global management & technology consulting unit, implementing technical business solutions for Fortune 500 companies, including NASDAQ/NASD, Duke Energy and Office Depot. Specifically, she was integral in the design, creation and implementation of PeopleSoft (ERP business software) customizations.

She earned her MBA and undergraduate degrees in her home state of North Carolina, graduating cum laude. As a graduate student, Kimberly Brown was the researcher and, later, Project Manager for one of the original internet law books, Cyberlaw and E-Commerce, by University professors David Baumer & J.C. Poindexter.

An avid horsewoman since age 10, Kimberly has successfully shown hunters and jumpers, trained with a U.S. Olympic coach and owned a small horse-transportation business. She has worked for the renowned WinStar Farm in Versailles, home of Kentucky Derby Sire "Distorted Humor," where she handled marketing, events management and internal data research.

Kimberly Brown has been quoted in the San Francisco Chronicle and in various other publications. Her own article "Leading the race: Central Kentucky equine medicine spurs research breakthroughs",was featured in Business Lexington the premier corporate magazine of the Bluegrass. In 2007, she was the Keynote Speaker for the National Economic Development Summit, where Senator Elizabeth Dole gave the opening welcome.

Kimberly's background in business and passion for the horse make her uniquely qualified to support the professional needs of the equine industry.
