A word from Kimberly about her recent trip to the Ukraine-Hungary border

Im March, 2022, my mom and I traveled half way around the world to volunteer for the humanitarian aid effort at the Ukraine-Hungary border.

Our team, organized by North Carolina’s Baptists on Mission aid group was named UKR1 and consisted of 7 Americans plus 2 amazing Hungarians. We were there to provide aid at the border, while another team of 4 Americans manned the donations warehouse near Budapest. We were the first of our group to arrive and didn’t know what we would be walking in to. It was an incredible experience that left me sad and happy at the same time.

I would like to say a special thank you to our team leaders, the coordinator in North Carolina and her daughter in Hungary, who has been in Hungary for several years serving on a long term mission.
